Blogging the Weezel

Ok, so I made it back to my blog today, yay! Starting where I left off yesterday, it's summer time again for most of us and time to consider making some new goals for ourselves. For some of us, these could include a vacation to somewhere new, or maybe taking in a concert, or for others maybe it's to look like Brooklyn Decker (or whichever other SI swimsuit model you love to hate) by next summer. However, I think that a much more satisfying goal will try to make some new frenemies. It will be a challenge, better yet, it will be my Everest, but maybe Bitch is the new Blonde, do they have all the fun?

My fave comedian Katt Williams illustrates the point I'm trying to make so much better. If you're not familiar with him yet, it's about time you jump on this Pimp train, he'll change your life.
Since he uses a rather large amount of let's say "expressive" language, I will supply the link, all you have to do is click... go ahead, don't be scurrrred..... just don't forget to come back.
(*ok so I 'm lying, really I don't know how to save the file so I can upload this video, but I will figure it out. eventually)

Speaking of Blondes, let's segue into a introduction of my BFF Jen Dub *(not her real last name)
This lady is a Taurus through and through. Can be a little tough to get her out on the town but once she's out, watch out. She is the Hall to my Oates and the Ying to my Yang.
She will beat most anyone in a battle of wits.
The coolest Chick ever and it's such a shame that she never visits me in "Texasss".

Jen is Co-Captain of our lil crew called the Nerd Herd, the name is ironic that's why we like it.
(Please hold all applause, questions, and laughter til the end.)
The NH's founding directors are myself, Jen Dub, Clinton Taylor, and Brook Treas.
We all first became acquainted a Homecomings Financial back in 2005 but were all on separate journeys at the time. The company laid off its San Diego division and one-by-one we each landed a job at good 'ol Chase. In September 2007, we held the first official assembly over many pitchers of beer at Cass Bar & Grille in Pacific Beach, California. The club's roster of members and honorary members has grown to nearly a dozen since it's inception. We've ventured on Booze Cruises, had a legendary 80's themed party for Jen's birthday last year, and watched countless sunsets from Shore Club.

The Nerd Herd Credo-
Keep your Standards High,
Expectations Low,
and Pimp Hand Strong.

My First Time

So I've been wanting jump on this bandwagon for quite some time, oh say, about a year and half now, and woke up today and figured I might as well go ahead and bite the blog bullet. I'm terrible with expressing feelings and have been told before that I can seem quite emotionless and too private about my life. Although I feel I am lucky to have sooo many great friends and an amazing family, I can count on one hand how many people I've actually cried to in my entire life. It's all part of my Aquarius nature. Hopefully, I can gain a little perspective on life by putting myself out there for everyone to see. With that prefaced, I think that I am going to start out verrry slowly and get a feel for this whole blogging world just like entering a new relationship, let's be friends first, ok? agreed.

Today my car seatbelt left a sizzling imprint on my arm, you know what that means, the hot, hot, hot Texas summer is here.
It's reminding me of my cousin Kayla's wedding last year out in the middle of the Austin in an absolutely beautiful little wooden saloon type building. It was the middle of the day, feels like 100+, No A/C, tight, full-length dresses, celebratory wine, knees locking, standing behind the bride during the ceremony next to the candelabras, dizziness ensuing, my dad starts his prayer and everyone bows their heads. I asked my little cousin Payton, the flower girl, to hold my bouquet so I could take my shoes off in an attempt to get some circulation back in my body. As I grabbed the candle stick, hot wax poured on me and I almost fell over but managed not to make a sound. close call.

So, my first posting will be my 2009 summer playlist of songs that I just can't get enough right now. Time to dance like no one is watching.
