Ignorance is Bliss

Tonight my friend Michael brought up an interesting point on the use of depleted uranium in military weapons. He said that the U.S. is knowingly poisoning it's own troops by supplying them with ammunition made from this lethal particle. I decided to do a little research on the topic. Even though it's not proven that the use of DU caused the symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome, up to 20 years preceeding it research had been conducted for proving the negative outcomes of exposure. When the rest of the world's armies reduced their usage, the U.S. continued to keep record high storage of the material at least through 2002. It is definitely makes you wonder why so many soldiers came back with physical and neurological problems. Imagine the effects of chernobyl had but being dispersed into the system on a smaller scale over long periods of time. The following vid is long but very interesting information on the subject.

Not a light topic for this blog tonight but it's been one of those weekends where I'm actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. As of Friday night, I'm single Sarah again. Although it's such a major relief to not be in a relationship with the wrong person anymore, breaking up is still hard to do.
Here's a song from a playlist I got from a dear friend recently that always puts me in a better mood.

I heart Strung Out.
Ciao for now.
